- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.

- Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in qualifying examination.
B.Tech Lateral Entry :
- Minimum 3-year Diploma in Engineering OR B.Sc. degree with Mathematics.

To apply, the student should be a permanent resident or domicile holder of Uttar Pradesh, enrolled in a recognised programme, and admitted through the applicable route such as counselling where mandated by the scheme. The student must also have an Aadhaar-linked bank account for DBT transfer.
Mandatory requirements
- Minimum qualifying marks:Generally 60% in the last qualifying examination for many professional courses, subject to scheme rules.
- Attendance:Students must maintain the attendance level required by the institute and scholarship authorities; many institutions report attendance for verification.
- Entrance qualification:Valid JEE Main / CUET / equivalent qualification, wherever required by the programme or admission route.
