The Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (P.B.B.Sc. Nursing) is a two-year undergraduate course designed specifically for registered nurses who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of nursing and midwifery. This course is aimed at providing registered nurses with advanced training and education to improve their professional competencies and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

The P.B.B.Sc. Nursing course includes both theoretical and practical components. Theoretical classes cover various subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and nursing skills. Practical training includes experiments, research, ward visits, and assisting other nurses. This comprehensive training helps students develop a deeper understanding of nursing principles and practices, enabling them to provide more effective care to patients.

Admission Eligibility

Candidates must have passed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.

A minimum of 1 year of work experience in the nursing field is required.

Applicants must hold a valid GNM certificate along with registration under Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).

The minimum age for admission is 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.

Modules

The Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (P.B.B.Sc Nursing) is a two‑year undergraduate bridge program designed for students who have completed a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).

In the first year, students study Nursing Foundation, Nutrition and Dietetics, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Psychology, Microbiology, and Maternal Nursing. The curriculum also includes Child Health Nursing, Medical‑Surgical Nursing, and Community Health Nursing, which provide clinical expertise.
