Admission Eligibility

Candidates must have completed B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc (Hons) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.

A minimum of 1 year of work experience in the nursing field is required.

Candidates must have successfully cleared the CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU).

Applicants must hold a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) certificate along with valid registration under Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).

Candidates must also meet the prescribed medical fitness criteria for admission to the M.Sc Nursing program.

Modules

The Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc Nursing) is a two‑year postgraduate program divided into four semesters, designed for B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing graduates who wish to specialize in advanced clinical practice, teaching, and research.

In the first year, students study Advanced Nursing Practice, Nursing Education, Nursing Research and Statistics, and Clinical Specialization I such as Medical‑Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, or Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing. The second year focuses on Nursing Management, Clinical Specialization II, Dissertation and Thesis Work, and advanced electives in areas like Oncology Nursing, Cardiology Nursing, or Critical Care Nursing.
